The 20nd death anniversary of Mirza Mehdy Ispahani was observed at Mirza Ahmed Ispahani High School in Chattogram on Saturday, says a press release.
He was the founder of Mirza Ahmed Ispahani High School, former chairman of MM Ispahani Ltd and the father of Mirza Salman Ispahani.
On this occasion, a milad mahfil and recitation from the holy Quran were held in the school auditorium seeking divine peace for the departed soul of Mirza Mehdy Ispahani.
Nreepesh Baron Sen and Tajnin Chowdhury, assistant teachers of the school, recalled his eventful life and works.
Among the students, Warisa Newaz, Nishat Tasnim, Mohinuddin Munna, Ashraful Hasan, Affan Chowdhury and Meheraj Karim spoke on the occasion.
Headmaster of Mirza Ahmed Ispahani High School SM Mojibur Rahman presided over the event.
He advised the students to follow the ideology of Mirza Mehdy Ispahani who founded the institution in 1987.
Mr Mojibur Rahman said the school has been recognised as the best educational institution in Pahartali thana of Chattogram under the judgment of the National Education Week 2023.
