The second International Conference on Recent and Advanced Fiber and Polymer Materials (ICFP-2025) commenced on Tuesday at the Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) campus in Tejgaon, Dhaka, according to an official statement.
The event is organised by the Society of Fiber Science, Bangladesh (SFSB), in collaboration with International Standard University (ISU) and BUTEX.
Professor Dr. M.A. Barique, President of the Society of Fiber Science, Bangladesh, and a faculty member at Shizuoka University, Japan, presided over the conference.
Notable Bangladeshi academics and professionals, including Prof Dr. Md. Zulhash Uddin, VC of BUTEX; Prof Abul Kashem, Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Technology at ISU; Prof HTM Quader Newaz, Treasurer of ISU; and Prof Dr. Masudur Rahman (EUB), are also participating in the conference, alongside other academicians, researchers, industry leaders, policymakers, and students from leading institutions across the country.
