3 BRAC officials among 9 facing graft case

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) is set to file a case against nine people, including three BRAC officials, for allegedly swindling out about Tk 5 million from the NGO. The Commission at a recent meeting gave approval for filing a case against them, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya said. He said the case will be filed against suspended manager of BRAC’s Bamoni Bazar branch, Companyganj, Noakhali, Abul Kashem, suspended accountant Shankar Sutradar, programme organiser (suspended) Mujibur Rahman, Manish Pundit, Jahangir Alam, Alamgir Kabir, Sohel Mia, Samaresh Kumar and Nitol Chakma. The case will be filed within a day or two, he added, according to UNB.
