3 decades of Ctg journalists housing society observed

CHITTAGONG, Dec 20: Chittagong Journalists Cooperative Housing Society Limited (CJCHSL) observed its three decades of journey today amid discussion and awarding crests of honour to the freedom fighter-journalists of Chittagong.

Daily Azadi editor MA Malek inaugurated the programme while State Minister for Land Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Zabed spoke in the discussion as the chief guest. Held at Chittagong Press Club the function was chaired by chairman of CJCHSL Moinuddin Quaderi Shawkat.

Chairman of CDA (Chittagong Development Authority) Abdus Salam, director of Rupali Bank and former chairman of CJCHSL Abu Sufian and president of the CUJ (Chittagong Union of Journalists) Ejaz Yusufee spoke at the function as special guests. General secretary of the CJCHSL Morshed Alam conducted the events.

Later, 11 freedom fighter-journalists were awarded crests of honour for their valiant role during the Liberation War of 1971.
