3\\\' members of currency forgery gang\\\' held in Ctg

CHITTAGONG, May 9 (UNB): The police arrested three alleged members, including two women, of a currency forgery gang from Tulatoli and Pahartoli Green View areas in the port city  Saturday.

The arrestees were Tajuddin Masud, 25, son of Jamal Uddin, a resident of Modhuai village of Feni Sadar Upazila, Swapna Begum, 25, wife of Tajdddin and Shahnaj Akter, 20.

Police arrested Tajuddin from Tulatoli area around 12pm along with 10 forged notes of Tk 1,000 denomination each.

Later, police conducted a drive in his house in Pahartoli area and recovered 70 counterfeit notes of Tk 1,000 denomination. They also arrested Swapna and Shahnaj from the house. A case was filed in this connection.
