COX'S BAZAR, Dec 3 (UNB): Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in two separate drives recovered 30,000 pieces of Yaba tablet and arrested one person in this connection from Baraitali of Teknaf Upazila Tuesday night and Wednesday.
Commanding officer of BGB Battalion 42 Lt Col Abu Zar Al Zahid said acting on a secret information that a man along with a consignment of Yaba tablets was coming to Bangladesh from Myanmar through the Naf River, a team of BGB-42 conducted a drive in Baraitali ghat near the river at around 11:30 Tuesday.
Later, the BGB team recovered 10,000 pieces of Yaba tablet from the area in an abandoned condition.
However, the smugglers managed to flee from the spot sensing the presence of BGB.
