34pc candidates pass medical admission test

The results of tests for admission to the country's medical and dental colleges for the 2014-2015 academic session were published on Sunday, showing a pass rate of 34 per cent, reports UNB.
Some 22,759 candidates, out of 69,477, secured the pass mark in the written test held on October 24 (Friday). Among them, 10,227 will be able to get admitted to public and private medical and dental colleges.
Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Deen Muhammad Nurul Haque handed over the results to State Minister for Health Zahid Malek on Sunday who announced the results at a press briefing in the city.
The results are available at the directorate's website www.dghs.gov.bd , he said.
The admission procedure will begin on October 30 which will continue until November 15 while the classes will begin in January next.
