35 rivers register rise, 44 fall

Water level in 35 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) has marked rises and 44 stations recorded falls, reports BSS.
Among the 74 monitored water level stations, three have been registered steady and two were reported flowing above danger marks, a bulletin issued by the FFWC said Saturday.
Significant rainfall was recorded in some stations in different districts during the last 24 hours ending at 6 am Saturday. A total of 360 mm rainfall was recorded at Sunamganj, 250 mm at Lorergarh, 130 mm at Durgapur, 81 mm at Lama, 60mm at Teknaf and 47 mm at Sheola.
