37 people injured in clashes in Sirajganj

SIRAJGANJ, Aug 31 (UNB): About 37 people were injured in two separate clashes in the district town and Ullapara Pourashava Thursday.
Police said residents of Hossainpur and Dhanbandhi Dubapara mahallas in the town locked in a fierce clash over previous enmity in the morning, leaving 22 people injured from both sides.
On information, RAB and police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. The injured were admitted to Sirajganj general hospital and other clinics.
Meanwhile, 15 people were injured in another clash between two groups of people at Shymali Para under Ullapara municipality in the morning.
Separate cases were filed in this connection.
