37 rivers sweell, 43 recede

Water level in 37 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) has marked rise and 43 stations recorded fall, reports BSS.
Among the 84 monitored water level stations, four are above danger level, a bulletin issued by FFWC said Friday.
All the major river systems except Brahmaputra-Jamuna are in rising trend. The Brahmaputra-Jamuna river systems may fall in next 48 hours. The Ganges river system may rise in next 48 hours. The Padma and Surma-Kushiyara river systems may rise in next 24 hours.
A total of 105 mm rainfall was recorded during 24 hours until 6am Friday. Rangmati witnessed 102 mm, Panchpukuria 80mm, Lama 73 mm , Teknaf 67mm, Cox's Bazar 62mm, Chilmari 78mm, Sylhet 99 mm , Kanaighat 73 mm, Lorergarh 50 mm, Bandarban 49 mm and Dinajpur 43.5 mm.
