38 B\\\'deshis killed along border in 2013: BGB DG

JESSORE, Jan 23:  Major General Aziz Ahmed, director general (DG) of

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Thursday said, 38 Bangladeshis were killed along the border last year. He disclosed the information at a press conference at 26 Border Guard Battalion, Jessore headquarters pointing fingers to the Indian Border Security Force (BSF).

The BGB DG told journalists that the BGB members were making a total of 65 tin-shed buildings at Malopara under Abhaynagar including two in Monirampur, where two women were raped in the post-poll violence.

The houses are expected to be completed by mid-March this year, he added.

Brigadier General Shamsur Rahman, regional commander, Jessore, Col Nurul Huda, Khulna sector commander and Lt Col Matiur Rahman, commanding officer, 26 Border Guard Battalion were also present at the press conference.
