4 held with 9,000 yaba tablets in Ctg

CHITTAGONG, Aug 30 (BSS): Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) in a drive arrested four drug traders with 9,000 pieces of contraband yaba tablets from Shah Amanat bridge area under city's Bakalia thana this afternoon.
The arrestees were identified as Sayed Noor, 28, Mohammad Ishak, 20, Abdus Sukkur, 26, Monjurul Islam, 25. All hailed from Teknaf upazila of the Cox's Bazaar district.
Bakalia thana police on secret information conducted a drive at a Chittagong bound dry fish laden truck around 3 pm today and arrested them with 9,000 pieces of yaba tablets, hidden inside the dry fish at the truck.
Police said the arrestees adopted a new type of drug trading by hiding the Yaba inside the dry fish.
A case was filed in this connection.
