4 houses gutted in Ctg fire

Four houses were burnt to ashes in a fire at Uttar Demsar Baruapara of Satkania upazila early Friday. Sources at Fire Service and Civil Defence Satkania said the fire originated from at a house in the area around 3am and soon spread to other ones. On information, firefighters rushed to the spot and doused the blaze after two hours of frantic efforts. However, the reason behind the fire could not be known yet. Assistant superintendent of police AKM Emran said police visited the spot, according to UNB.
