43 more samples sent for virus test in Rajshahi division

RAJSHAHI, Apr 05: Some 43 more samples for testing of coronavirus infection have been sent to the coronavirus detection laboratory of Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) from last Saturday to Sunday morning, informed Dr. Bulbul Hasan, Head of the Department of Microbiology of RMC.

Dr. Bulbul Hasan further said, a total of 94 testing of the samples were possible at the lab at a time and it usually takes six to eight hours to test a sample. He said, so far reports of 26 samples have been prepared and those have been sent to IEDCR for further action.

The corona detection laboratory at the virology department of RMC was set up on April 01 to test samples collected from bodies of suspected corona infected persons. The work of the laboratory is going on in full swing, RMC sources said.
