44 held over mugging in city

The Rapid Action Battalion has arrested 44 members of an organised gang for their alleged involvement with mugging in Dhaka city.
RAB-3 commander Lt Col Arif Mohiuddin Ahmed at a press briefing on Wednesday that the teams of the elite force arrested the suspected muggers from Motijheel, Paltan, Shahbagh and Khilgaon areas during their drives on Tuesday night. He said the arrestees were preparing to snatch passengers' money and valuables ahead of upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.
