46 sacks of urea fertiliser seized

JAMALPUR, Oct 27 (UNB): Some 46 sacks of urea fertiliser were seized from Debraipyach area of Islampur Upazila Thursday afternoon.
Police said local people, on suspicion, intercepted a rickshaw and a rickshaw-van in the area in the afternoon.
But at one stage sensing danger the drivers fled away leaving behind the fertiliser on their vehicles.
On information, police along with agriculture official Bikash Chandra Pal came to the spot and seized the fertiliser.
A case was filed in this connection.
