KUSHITA, Feb 26 (UNB): Five children suffered splinter injuries as a bomb exploded at Bilshuka Bhabanipur village in Bheramara Upazila Wednesday.
The injured were identified as Rabbi (4), Bappi (10) - two sons of Anwarul Islam, Pappu (2), son of Chana, Sakib (8), son of Selim and Sifat, son of Saidur of Bilshuka Bhabanipur village.
Witnesses said the bomb went off with a big bang when the children were playing near a field at about 1.00 pm, leaving them injured.
The injured were rushed to Bheramara Upazila Health Complex.
Bheramara Upazila Nirbahi Officer Rezaul Karim and officer-in-charge of Bherama Model Police Station Parvez Islam visited the spot.
