50 held for 'trading drugs' in city

Detective police arrested 50 persons for their alleged involvement with drugs trading.

The detective personnel of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) made the arrests during raids in different areas in the capital from Friday morning to Saturday morning.

During the raids they also seized three grams and 97 purias of heroin, 1408 pieces of Yaba, 281 bottles of phensedyl and 7.5 kilogramms of hashish from the arrestees' possessions.

A total of 34 cases were filed at different police stations in the city against the arrestees, according to the DMP.
