50 structures removed from road leading to tunnel at Anwara end

CHATTOGRAM, Dec 4: A mobile court conducted today an eviction operation, dismantling illegal structures encroaching upon the road leading to the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel in Anwara, Chattogram.

Anwara Upazila's Executive Magistrate and Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land), Abdullah Al-Mumin, spearheaded the eviction drive at the tunnel's end within the upazila on Monday afternoon.

The mobile court successfully removed over fifty unauthorized structures occupying the roadside area.

During the operation, local Chairman Aftab Uddin Chowdhury Sohel, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Anwara Thana Sohel Ahmed, and law enforcement officials were present.

Local reports indicated that certain individuals in the area had constructed these illegal structures, encroaching upon the roadside area near the tunnel's endpoint.
