50,000 policemen to be appointed

The present government has a plan to appoint 50,000 more police personnel to further strengthen the capacity of law enforcement agencies in the country, reports BSS.

State Minister for Home Affairs Asaduzzamn Khan said this in the Jatiya Sangsad Thursday, mentioning that the present government since its previous tenure from 2009 to 2014 created a total of 31,744 new posts in the police department.

He was replying to two separate questions raised by Mahjabin Morshed on behalf of Noor-e-Hasna Lili Chowdhury of Jatiya Party.
