64 killed in Jan-Mar crossfires

A total of 64 people were killed in crossfires and in the custody of law-enforcing agencies during the January-March period of this calendar year.

Of the total, 15 people were killed in crossfires by the RAB (Rapid Action Battalion), 24 by police and seven by other forces, the Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) said in a statement on Tuesday.  

Besides, about 122 people were also killed in 566 incidents centring on political violence during the first three months of this year. Of them, 69 died in arson attacks.

On the other hand, around 3,051 people were also injured in political violence during the same period, according to the ASK.
