7 Rajuk men among 25 in charge sheet okayed by ACC

The Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) approved Sunday a charge sheet against 25 people including seven Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) officials for their alleged embezzlement of money by showing false statement.
The charge sheet was approved at a regular meeting of ACC at its headquarters in the city, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the anti-graft body Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told reporters on the day.
The accused were former surveyor of Narayanganj deputy commissioner office Foyzaulla Amin, officials Md Ishak, Md Anwarul Islam, Gazi Rabiul Awal, Md Mizanur Rahman, surveyors SM Habibur Rahman and Abu Taher, Rajuk officials Md Khalilur Rahman, Md Fasir Uddin Akhand, Yar Ahmed Majumder, Gobind Chandra Mondol, Md Saidur Rahman, Md Monwarul Islam and others.
The ACC PRO said the accused officials embezzled about Tk 1.0 million on mutual consensus by showing false statement from a project.
The charge sheet would be submitted to the court soon, the ACC official said.
