8 Myanmar men held with 50,000 Yaba pills

COX'S BAZAR, Feb 3 (UNB): Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested eight Myanmar nationals in possession of 50,000 pieces of Yaba tablet from the Naf River in Teknaf Upazila early Tuesday.
Identity of the arrestees could not yet be ascertained.
The BGB sources said a team of the BGB challenged the eight Myanmar nationals when they arrived on the bank of the Naf River in the Shahparirdwip area from Myanmar illegally on a small boat around 4:30 am.
After a search, the BGB members recovered 50,000 pieces of Yaba tablet from their possession and arrested them.
The market value of the seized Yaba tablets was around Tk 15 million.
BGB Battalion-42 commanding officer Lieutenant Colonel Abu Zar Al Jahid confirmed the incident.
