8 women traffickers arrested in city

Members of the Detective Branch (DB) of Police detained eight alleged women traffickers including an Indian citizen during a raid in the city's Jatrabari area Wednesday  night, reports BSS.

Abu Yousuf, Assistant Commissioner (media) of the DB police, Thursday confirmed that a team of DB police led by Superintendent of Police Abu Naser Jony arrested them from Jatrabari area.

The detainees were identified as Abdul Mazid, Mrs Monika, Chanchal Rani, Ariful Islam, M Nabi Hossain, Anwar Hossain, Gopal Mondol and Indian citizen Nikhil Chandra Das.
