9-member RBM committee formed

The journalists covering the labour migration beat Saturday formed a forum with a view to working for wellbeing of Bangladeshi migrants abroad.

A nine-member convening committee of Reporters for Bangladeshi Migrants (RBM)" has been formed at a meeting at the city's Ramna Chinese Restaurant.

Masud-ul Haque from United News of Bangladesh (UNB) has been made Convener. Belal Hossain Biplob of the Daily Star and Jesmin Papri of Bangla News 24.com will work as joint convener and Karamot ullah Biplob of ATN Bangla as general secretary.

Shamsul Islam of Daily Inqilab, Owasim Uddin Bhuyan of New Age, Arafat Ara of The Financial Express, Mithun Kamal of The daily Observer, Mithun Mahfuz of Amader Samoy are members of the executive committee.

Other general members of the committee are: Shariful Islam of Prothom Alo, Haider Ali of Kaler Kantho, Syed Sukkur Ali of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Rabiul Haque of the daily Jugantor, Kaoser Azam of the Repot24. com, Anisur Rahman of The Independent, Jahangir Khan Babu of The Daily Janata, Abbas Uddin Nayan of the daily Artho Shuchak, Md Jakaria of daily Destiny

The convening committee will form a full committee after three months.
