The 92nd birth anniversary of late Mirza Mehdy Ispahani was observed on the premises of the Mirza Ahmed Ispahani High School in Chittagong Thursday, says a press release.
The school authorities arranged a competition on painting and essay writing on Mr Ispahani to mark the day. The students of the school also published a wall magazine in this connection.
A meeting in memory of Mr Ispahani-- renowned industrialist, education enthusiast, founding chairman of M M Ispahani Ltd and founder of the school-- was also held. Headmaster of the school S M Mojibur Rahman presided over the meeting.
The programme ended with prayer for salvation of the departed soul of Mr Ispahani.
