92nd birthday of Prof Kabir Chy today

The Forum for Secular Bangladesh and Trial of War Criminals of 1971, popularly called Nirmul Committee, will observe the 92nd birthday of National Professor Kabir Chowdhury, one of the forerunners of the Forum, with an extensive programme today (Sunday), reports BSS.

The Nirmul Committee, which initiated the civic movement demanding trial of the killers and collaborators of 1971 and imposition of a ban on the communal and militant politics of Jamaat under the leadership of Shaheed Janani Jahanara Imam 21 years back, will lay wreaths at grave of its founding adviser Prof Kabir Chowdhry at the Mirpur Martyred Intellectuals' Graveyard at 8.00 in the morning.
