A day after closure, TSC tea stalls reopen

The tea stalls in the Teacher Student Centre (TSC) area of Dhaka University (DU), which were closed by the university authorities for providing unhealthy and unhygienic food items, reopened on Tuesday, reports UNB.
Visiting the spot, this correspondent of the news agency reported that the makeshift tea stalls, remained shut since last night, reopened around 1:30 pm.
One of the tea stall owners, Abdul Jalil, said on Monday night a Proctor's team asked them to shut the stalls and they later permitted them to reopen those instructing them to improve the quality of their food items.
Proctor Prof AKM Golam Rabbani told reporters that they did not formally issue any notice to close the stalls but warned them about the unhealthy food that might pose a threat to students' health. "They can open the stalls but must maintain the quality of food," he said.
