Air Vice Marshal M. Mustafizur Rahman assumed charge as the Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Aviation and Aerospace University, Bangladesh (AAUB) on Wednesday.
Upon assuming office, the VC sought the cooperation of all concerned and urged everyone to carry out their responsibilities with honesty, dedication, and sincerity to establish AAUB as a centre of excellence in aviation and space research.
He is a seasoned aviator with more than three decades of experience in aviation planning, operations, and safety-related activities. He earned a BSc in Aeronautics from Rajshahi University; a Master's in Defence Studies from National University; an MSc from Madras University, India, and National Defence College, Pakistan; and an MPhil from BUP.
During his professional career, he served as Directing Staff at Defence Services Command and Staff College, Mirpur, and at the Armed Forces War Course, National Defence College (NDC).
He received Air Force Bishishto Sheba Padak (BSP) and Gouraboujjal Uddoyon Padak (GUP). Prior to joining AAUB, he served as Senior Directing Staff at NDC.
