Abducted child rescued

CHITTAGONG, Mar 10: City's Khulsi police have rescued an abducted child from Sandwip after 46 days.

Acting upon tips a team of the police raided a remote area in the island upazila of Sandwip and rescued Tithi Datta (11), a student of class V11.

A gang of young boys abducted her from near her city residence in the Khulsi area under Chittagong city. Her father Khokan Datta registered a general diary in connection with the abduction on the day of incident.

Police said they were investigating the incident to arrest the culprits. They could not arrest anybody as the culprit fled the scene upon arrival of the police. Tithi is a student of Jhautala Girls High School.
