The Anti-Corruption Commission gave Sunday approval for the investigators to file charge-sheet against scam-ridden Hallmark Group Chairman Jasmine Islam for amassing wealth.
Sources in the ACC said the approval was given on Sunday afternoon, after thorough investigations.
Earlier on December 12, 2013, the anti-graft watchdog filed a case against the company chairperson with Ramna Police Station for not submitting wealth statement to the commission.
The High Court on January 19 granted anticipatory bail to Jasmine for four weeks in this case.
The ACC later filed a petition with the Supreme Court for stay on the High Court order.
Meanwhile, the ACC also gave approval for charge-sheeting former DMCH director Brig-Gen (retd) Bazle Quader and four others.
The case was filed on May 15 against them with Shahbagh Police Station on a charge of "misappropriating Tk 23 million in the name of drug purchase".
Six of the accused, including Bazle Quader, now in custody, claimed themselves innocent and demanded justice.
The other accused are DMCH former deputy director Dr Md Foyzullah, Senior Lecturer Dr. Moshiur Rahman, ex-accounts officer Nazrul Islam and proprietor of M/s Jakia Enterprise Jakia Sultana.
