Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman M Badiuzzaman reiterated Sunday his commitment to curbing corruption from the country.

He also urged the countrymen to provide information of corruption to the Commission to involve themselves with the war against graft.

"The corrupt people will obviously come under the ACC's scanner, and will face the music for their misdeeds," he said at a human chain formed in front of the National Press Club in the city organised as part of observation of the 'Corruption Resistance Week'.

A colourful procession was brought out before formation of the human chain.

The ACC boss said confusion is prevailing among people about the activities of the Commission whether it is playing its due role or not.

"We are not interested to show people anything artificially but rather working sincerely to make the country corruption-free, and we will prove it soon," he said.

The ACC is observing the 'Corruption Resistance Week' from March 26 to April 1 for the fourth time to involve all with the movement against corruption.

The week-long campaign has been designed with various programmes to create awareness among the people, especially the young generation, to curb corruption for the overall development of the country.

The countrywide programmes include bringing out processions, forming human chains, displaying posters, holding seminars, symposiums, cultural events, anti-corruption programmes in the mass media and sending SMS through mobile phone.
