The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) sued a former driver of RAJUK and his wife on Wednesday for illegally accumulating assets worth over Tk 16.8 million.
The accused are Md Abdul Jalil Akand, 60, a retired driver of RAJUK, and his wife Jahanara Begum.
The couple concealed information of assets worth Tk 16,812,402 in the wealth statement submitted to the ACC.
During investigation, the commission found Tk 5.78 million worth of illegal wealth in the name of Mr Akand, and Tk 11.02 million in the name of his wife.
