ACC to constitute Satata Sangha in 22,000 schools

KHULNA, Aug 19 (BSS): The statutory Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has planned to set up Satata Sangha or "moral uprightness" associations in 22,000 schools and other educational institutions as part of its nationwide anti-graft campaign.

"These Satata Sanghas will be constituted in 22,000 educational institutions across the country," ACC chairman Mohammad Bodiuzzaman told a seminar on "practice of virtues" at this southwestern city.

He said that these groups would comprise students "whose task will be to keep themselves away from corruption and prevent grafts in society".

Bodiuzzaman also revealed an ACC plan to expand its networks setting up the anti-graft body's offices at all the 64 administrative districts while the graft body currently has its offices in 22 districts.

Government officials of different levels joined the seminar organised by Divisional Commissioner's office while it was chaired by divisional commissioner M Abdus Samad.
