ACC to probe against Sayedabad terminal supervisor

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has decided to launch a probe against supervisor of Sayedabad Bus Terminal Gulam Sarwar for his alleged involvement in embezzlement of Tk 30 million from the terminal fund.
The decision was taken in a recent meeting of the Commission, the anti-graft body officials told the reporters.
Officials said ACC took the decision after the getting allegations that Mr Sarwar embezzled about Tk 30 million from various sources, including toll collection as well as water, gas and electricity bills. He misappropriated the money which he withdrew from the terminal fund.
ACC appointed its deputy director Jahangir Alam as investigation officer of the case, and its director Md Torab will supervise the investigation, sources said.
