Acid victim seeks help

MYMENSINGH, July 1: Anwara Begum (26), daughter of one Akkas Ali of village Bailar Char Para under Trishal Upazila, an acid victim at a press conference held at Mymensingh Press Club recently sought financial help from well-to-do people in the society.

In a written statement she told journalists that she was victimised on 8th December 2001 on a matter of land dispute. She went to Acid Survivors Foundation and got treatment there.

Doctors advised her to get plastic surgery. She is badly in need of about Tk 1.50 million for her better treatment. She urged all to come forward with help.
