Afsaruzzaman awarded Sher-e-Bangla Gold Medal

SM Afsaruzzarnan has been awarded Sher-e-Bangla Gold Medal-2007 for his outstanding contribution to Agricultural Extension, said a press release.
Former Secretary and Sher-e-Bangla AK Fazlul Haque Gobeshona Parishad chief adviser Syed Margub Murshed handed over the gold medal and certificate to Afsaruzzaman at a function at the National Press Club in the city recently.
Dhaka University former vice-chancellor Emajuddin Ahmed was present as the chief guest at the function while Justice MA Wahab, Chief Co-ordinator of CRP Valory Taylor and Member Secretary of the organisation SMA Bari were present on the occasion.
In his professional career, Afsar was involved in Sustainable Environment Management Programme (SEMP), National Nutrition Programme (NNP), Seed Certification Agency and worked with reputation.
Presently he is working as a senior entomologist at DAE.
Born in Mamudpur village of Potnitola Upazila under Naogaon District Afsar had completed his PhD degree in Entomology in 1999.
