CHAPAINAWABGANJ, June 25 (UNB): Agitated farmers laid siege to Sundarpur Union Parisad office in Sadar Upazila Sunday morning demanding adequate supply of fertiliser.
Witnesses said outraged by the prevailing scarcity of the agri-inputs local farmers assembled at the union headquarters early in the morning and gheraoed the union office for five hours.
Later, they withdrew the programme after the UP chairman assured them of taking necessary steps to meet their demand.
