AT Ahmedul Haque Chowdhury PPM has been appointed member of the Public Service Commission (PSC).
An MBA from IBA of Dhaka University (1972 batch), Mr Chowdhury joined the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Police Cadre in1973. He worked in different capacities including as Police Super, DIG, Police Commissioner and Additional Inspector General of Police.
He led Bangladesh Police to Haiti in the Commonwealth Peace Mission. He visited USA, UK, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Hawaii and India for training, seminar and personal work.
He was awarded "Good Service Badge" and "President Police Medal" of IGP and "Commander's Award for Public Service" of Defence Ministry of USA in recognition of his merit and skill. He hails from Bijoynagar in Brahmanbaria district and was born there on December 21, 1948.
