"Across all areas-information organisation, knowledge preservation, information retrieval and use-the proper and positive application of AI-based technologies can make libraries more modern, efficient and user-friendly," he said in a message issued on the occasion of the 70th anniversary celebration of the Library Association of Bangladesh (LAB), to be observed today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday).
"I am happy to know that an international conference titled 'LAB International Conference on Reimagining Librarianship: Forging the Future with AI Technologies' will be organised on December 12 and 13, 2025 to mark the 70th anniversary of LAB," the CA added.
He said LAB has taken a relevant and timely initiative by bringing together the country's library professionals along with international researchers and experts. "On this occasion, I congratulate all concerned," he added.
