CHITTAGONG, July 02: Rotarian Ali Hossain Akbar Ali was elected president of the Rotary Club of Chittagong Mid -City for the year 2007-2008. The names of the board members were also announced at a meeting held in Chittagong Club here Sunday.
The outgoing Rotarian President Habib Mohiuddin expressed his thanks to all the members for their co-operation to him.
The newly elected president, who is also the chairman of the Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills, spelled out the future strategy of the club.
He sought co-operation and participation of all members to enrich the activities of the Rotary Club.
He also placed the budget of the club for the year of 2007-2008.
Abdus Salam, Faizur Rahman, ABM Obaidullah, Abu Bakkar, Sajjad Muhammed Chowdhury, Khorshedur Rahman, Ahmad Jibran Saani, Yusuf Monsur, Riad Jabeer, Md. Harun, Kaisar Abulwala, Mahboob Jamil, Abdul Hamid and Hanif were also present on the occasion.
