All concerned asked to extend support in expansion of power-loom sector

President Iajuddin Ahmed has called upon all concerned to extend their all out cooperation in further expansion of country's specialised textile mills and power-loom sector, reports UNB.
The President made the call during a meeting with a 12-member delegation of Bangladesh Specialised Textile Mills and Power-loom Industries Association (BSTMPIA), led by its president Sharif M Afzal Hossain, at Bangabhaban Wednesday.
During the meeting, the delegation members apprised the President of potentiality and problems of the sector.
The delegation said that if the sector would be expended a lot, smuggling of cloths into the country from outside will be reduced.
The President gave a patient hearing to the team and assured them of giving his support to solve the existing problems of the sector.
Secretary of the President's Office Md Sirajul Islam, Military Secretary to the President Major General Mohammad Ruhul Amin and the President's Press Secretary Abdul Awal Hawlader were present.
