Alleged mugger beaten to death in city

An alleged mugger died in a mob beating at East Jurain in the city Thursday, the police said.
The deceased was identified as Ripon (30), a fugitive in a mugging case and wanted by the local police.
An officer of Kadamtoli police station told the FE that the mugger waylaid a couple and demanded their belongings at the point of a dagger and ran away after snatching a necklace.
