TANGAIL, Oct 02: The cultivation of Aman paddy is going on in full swing in all 12 upazilas of the district.
Farmers of the district are now working in their fields for transplanting Aman seedlings.
A total of 110,716 hectares of land would be brought under Aman cultivation in the district this year, and so far 90 per cent of the targeted land had already been cultivated.
Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) sources said Aman seed beds on 8,797 hectares were damaged due to the recent flood.
