Amirun Bewa got old age allowance

Finally 80-year old Amirun Bewa got the old age allowance.
Amirun, a widow of Nazirdah village under Kaonia Upazila of Rangpur district, is dependent on her poor daughter, who was abandoned by her husband, reports UNB.
Her awful living depicted recently by a section of the press had caught the attention of Social Welfare Adviser Geeteara Safia Chowdhury.
She ordered for immediate payment of old age allowance to Amirun.
The old woman was paid the allowance on October 18 with effect from last July. Amirun Bewa expressed gratitude to the Adviser.
