Anniversary of Faruque's death today

The 8th anniversary of death of professor Mohammad Faruque, former chairman of Bengali department of Jahangirnagar University and former head of Bengali department of Karachi University, will be observed today (Friday), said a press release.
A day-long programme including Qurankhwani, milad mahfil and special munajat at mosque, have been arranged to mark the day. Besides, cooked food will be distributed among the destitute, the release added.
All relatives, friends, well-wishers and students of late professor are requested to pray to the Almighty Allah for the salvation of his departed soul.
