Anniversary of Prof Noman's death today

The 10th death anniversary of Mohammad Noman, an eminent educationist, a former vice-chancellor (VC) of Jahangirnagar University (JU) and a former principal of Dhaka College will be observed today (Thursday), said a press release.
Family members of Noman have arranged Qurankhwani and Milad Mahfil to mark the occasion. Besides, food will be distributed in orphanages and among destitutes, and special munajat will be offered at the mosque.
Noman Smriti Foundation has also chalked out elaborate programmes to observe the day.
Prof Noman is a recipient of 'Ekushe Padak' and President Gold Medal. His relatives, well-wishers, students and admirers have been requested to pray to the Almighty for the salvation of his departed soul.
