Another accused in BUP student rape case held

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Monday arrested one more accused in the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) student rape case from the city's Diabari area at Uttara, reports BSS.

The arrestee, Biplab Rojario, 40, is the second accused in the case, said a brief message of the elite force. Biplob is a known drug dealer and an accused in multiple cases, said police sources.

On Saturday, police arrested Mithu Biswas (44), the prime accused in the case filed over the rape from Tejkunipara area in Tejgaon. He was taken on a three-day remand for interrogation the following day.
