DINAJPUR, Sept 6 (BSS): One more murder case has been filed against former justice M Enayetur Rahim, his younger brother former member of parliament (MP) M Iqbalur Rahim and 103 others in connection with the killing of student Rabiul Islam Rahul during the Anti-Discrimination Students Movement in Dinajpur.
Md Riyad, son of Md Rezaul Islam in the Pak Paharpur area of the district town, filed the murder case with Kotwali thana on Thursday. Md. Farid Hossain, officer-in-charge of Dinajpur Sadar Kotwali thana, confirmed the matter.
The case named 105 individuals and included 500 unidentified persons as accused. The other accused in the case are former Chairman of Sadar Upazila Parishad Imdad Sarkar, former chairman of Birganj Upazila Abu Hossain Bipu, five UP Chairmen of Sadar Upazila Abhijit Basak, Mominul Islam, Md Rana, Ataur Rahman, Gorgies Sohail and Mustafa Kamal, former VC Prof Md Ruhul Amin of Haji Mohammad Danesh University of Science and Technology, district Awami League General Secretary Altafuzzaman, former Sadar Upazila Awami League General Secretary Biswajit Ghosh Kanchan and former Upazila Parishad Chairman Faridul Islam.
