MIRSHARAI, Feb 17 (UNB): A member of Ansar was crushed under the wheels of a train in Hadifakirhat area of the upazila early Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Abu Bakkar, 45, a resident of North Wahedpur area of the same upazila.
Arbinda Das, in-charge of Sitakunda railway police camp, said the accident took place at about 5:00 am when a shuttle train hit him while he was on duty in the area, leaving him dead on the spot.
Police recovered the body and handed over it to Chittagong Railway Police Station.
